An Architect who started triathlon in 1997<\/h1>\n

I didn\u2019t know how to swim crawl at the time. I had never been in the pool, but once I started with swim workouts at age 23, I was very dedicated to becoming a great and efficient open-water swimmer one day! In 2002 (age 26), I was first out of the water at the PRO race in IRONMAN, Austria. Isn\u2019t that a miracle?<\/p>\n

2008-2015 excellence in Ironman<\/span><\/span><\/span>
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

I won twice PRO qualification for the Ironman World Championship (Hawaii, USA) and achieved 23rd and 29th place (2008, 2009), the best Croatian placement at the Ironman World Championship. The first CRO record was held by Marjan Pedi\u0161i\u0107 (1994-2008).<\/p>\n

I made Croatian Ironman record for almost 13 years (2008-2021).<\/strong><\/p>\n

Followed by several notable results in the triathlon World Cup, where I was the first Croatian to earn points for the Olympic Games in Athens (Best position in World Cup-19th place in the world ranking).<\/p>\n

My personal best Ironman time is 8:12 made at Ironman Copenhagen
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

Bronze medal with 8 hours and 12 minutes, just 2 minutes and 34 seconds behind the winner time made by Tim Berkel AUS.<\/p>\n

In 2024, honored with an award for exceptional sporting achievements in triathlon<\/strong>, which was presented to me on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the founding of the Croatian Triathlon Federation.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Sport Ambassador<\/h1>\n

I become Wings for Life Ambassador since the beginning and won the race Wings for Life World Run Croatia<\/a> in 2016.<\/p>\n

I am proud First Croatian official Ironman ambassador in the region (Ironman 70.3 St Polten, Ironman 70.3 Pula, Ironman 70.3 Slovenian Istria).<\/p>\n

Dedicated Coach<\/h1>\n

Founder and Head coach at Adriatic Coaching. I coached running, cycling, swimming, triathlon, multisport and Ironman.<\/p>\n

Since 2015,\u00a0 Ironman Certified\u00a0 Coach<\/a> and triathlon instructor in the Croatian Triathlon Association.<\/p>\n

Father of three<\/h1>\n

I live in Samobor and am the father of three sons \u2013 Roko (born 2009), Nikola (born 2013) and Anakin (born 2016). I am also Vice President of the Samobor Triathlon Club.<\/p>\n
